Job description

Senior Agriculture Growth Specialist (1)

Reporting on to SAIP Mission Supervisor, the Senior Agriculture Growth Specialist is answerable for:

 Overseeing the agricultural elements of the challenge implementation areas together with irrigated areas and Land husbandry manufacturing.
 Aiding Mission Supervisor in analyzing technical feasibility of agriculture associated sub-projects throughout sub-project evaluate course of and making appropriate suggestions.
 Coordinating with related companies and consultants to offer help for technical feasibility research of proposed actions,
 Planning, organizing, and coordinating the challenge crop intensification elements.
 Planning, organizing and coordinating the implementation of the challenge pest administration plan.
 Enterprise discipline visits as requested by Mission Supervisor to evaluate the progress of the sub-projects’ implementation in coordination with related, native workers.
 Sustaining an correct database of actions, targets, outputs/achievements, expenditures, classes learnt and interval of implementation, as per agreed codecs to be up to date and introduced month-to-month to RAB/SAIP administration. (These experiences are to be shared with IDA and Growth Companions on a quarterly foundation as a part of a consolidated progress report from the PM).
 Making ready periodic experiences within the agreed format outlining and offering qualitative and quantitative evaluation of his / her efficiency in relation to outlined plans.
 Conducting extra duties as assigned by the Mission Supervisor.

{Qualifications} and Expertise Required

 Grasp’s Diploma or Bachelor’s Diploma in Agriculture Sciences, Soil Sciences Horticulture, Agronomy;
 Three (3) years of expertise for Masters and 5 (5) years of expertise for Bachelor’s diploma
 Good understanding of nationwide agricultural insurance policies;
 Expertise expertise in soil evaluation and soil fertility administration
 Having expertise in managerial expertise, communications and monitoring and analysis;
 Needs to be fluent in Kinyarwanda, English or French with capacity to provide high quality experiences, the information of each English and French is an added benefit;
 Familiarity with IDA tasks implementation procedures and tips;
 Information of IDA Safeguards insurance policies could be an added benefit;
 Sturdy inter-personal expertise with demonstrated expertise of working collegially inside a workforce; and,
 Competence in using laptop software program functions together with statistical software program, spreadsheets, and database and word-processing packages
