About the Role

The Product Scaling Specialist will be a JL7 member of the Scale Innovation department, managing the design, implementation, and assessment of two or three Rwanda OAF product and service trial projects. You will help to shape the organization’s approach and increase farmer lives, impact, and margins. You will help the team achieve its objective of adding at least two additional goods and services to the Rwanda sales program. The job will report to the Scale Innovation Department Lead and will work with three other Specialists who will handle additional product and service trials. The Specialist will also be responsible for at least one direct report and some casual staff on occasion.

Responsibilities

At any one moment, manage at least two agricultural and non-agricultural product and service trial projects.
Identify and launch innovative effective and economically feasible goods and services to the Rwanda program. project trials
Lead the strategy design and field execution of products and services sales trials in collaboration with other relevant departments (e.g. Field Operations & Execution, Logistics, Tech team, procurement, Finance). Develop estimated products and services sales financial and impact models and evaluate them after sales trials execution.
Project proposal and project plan documents should be developed.
Conduct research on farmer products and services, as well as sales performance evaluation questionnaires.
Conduct product and service sales trial data analysis and report writing.
Engagement and coordination of stakeholders and partners (internal and external stakeholders)

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

At least two years of project design and management expertise is required.
A thorough awareness of Rwanda’s smallholder agricultural requirements and demands.
Desk research and surveys of farmer markets and rural lifestyles
Excel/Google Sheets and other statistical analysis applications for quantitative and qualitative data analysis
Planning, execution, and performance evaluations for projects
Create sales strategy for agricultural and non-agricultural products and services, including financial and impact models.
Report Writing Capabilities
Possess a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agribusiness, economics, or a related field.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Kinyarwanda
